The demands and pressure of life sometimes become overwhelming.  As a result, we can get sidetracked from the meaningful things our hearts desire – like being a good intentional parent.  In desperation, we look for the one thing or a quick online resource to help us to put a “Band-Aid” on whatever issue of the day we’re dealing with in the moment.  All the while, we keep thinking (hoping) that we’ll have time later to properly address our issues with our children.

Intentional parenting is not a quick fix, but rather an investment.  That means getting equipped with a few practical and proven tools to put an effective parenting strategy in place.  One that will sustain you for the parenting journey and prevent you from getting sidetracked when life’s busyness gets in the way.

This year, OneFamily was able to help over 2000 parents invest in their families.  One such family is the Millers.

My husband and I have discovered, through OneFamily, the parenting classes are of great value. We now feel more equipped with tools to train, encourage and correct, our three boys.

Parenting has been an area of conflict in our marriage.  One of us has typically been more “permissive” and the other more “authoritarian.” We’ve struggled to get on the same page.  By taking classes together, we have gained many tools to help us come together and be on the same page in our parenting and marriage.

We are still a work in progress but we each feel supported and understood. We are parenting with common goals and have a strategy in place to raise our boys. My husband and I not only plan to take more courses in the future, but highly recommend that other parents join a class so they can gain perspective, skills and helpful tools to raise responsible, loving, and respectful children.

The Millers are a wonderful example of what investing in family looks like.  Like many parents, they were doing the best they could, but it was a struggle… and it was having a negative impact on their marriage and their children. They knew they were missing the tools and resources they needed to create the healthy family and home environment they desired. Since participating in all the different OneFamily resources, their investment continues to pay off for them. Families like the Millers are an encouragement to their community and to the health of our society.

A Special Opportunity to Help Families & Make a Difference!

Last week in our letter, Making a Difference in 2023, we shared how OneFamily has helped families this  year. However, this is only possible with your support! While we have been blessed with some funding from a few foundations, we rely primarily upon the financial giving from individual donors for our projects, growth, and sustainability.

During this season of giving, we have a special dollar-for-dollar matching donation opportunity that will help us to equip, encourage, sustain & transform families!

With your generous donation, OneFamily will continue to support you and impact more families with the tools and programs they need, for their marriage and parenting, to succeed in today’s challenging environment.
