Every day, we see how practical resources, loving accountability, and intentional encouragement can reshape the atmosphere of a home. Parents gain clarity and confidence. Children grow in virtue, connection, and emotional security. Marriages strengthen. Families begin to thrive—not by accident, but through intentional habits, hope, and support.
“OneFamily has been an amazing blessing to our family. Over the past few years, we’ve taken several toddler and marriage classes as we’ve adjusted to parenthood, and we can honestly say that OneFamily’s mission of “Equipping – Encouraging – and Sustaining” has become far more than a motto—it has become a roadmap for intentionality, love, and faith in our home. We especially love the analogy from OneFamily’s letter of encouragement entitled “Working Towards an Abundant Harvest” which reminds us that although parenting is hard, we are working towards a bountiful harvest in the future!
Many of the most transformative changes in our home have come from simple but meaningful practices we learned through OneFamily. One of our greatest discoveries has been learning to speak words of virtue – intentionally choosing language that affirms and uplifts instead of reacting out of frustration. This has helped our toddlers better understand what loving actions look like, especially in the midst of a good old-fashioned brother-sister fight. The OneFamily conversation cards have taken dinnertime to a whole new level, helping us listen and connect. And when whining or impatience arises, going to “Prayer Hands” has worked wonders in practicing self-control and reminding us that God is present, even in the messiest moments of family life.
One of the greatest gifts has been building habits that strengthen both our children and our marriage. We’ve made it a priority to listen with enthusiasm to everything our children bring us—no matter how small the story, and we’ve loved writing little love notes to each other and to the kids for impromptu encouragement. And of course, where would we be without the famous “Blanket/Couch Time?” This practice has given our toddlers confidence, self-control, boundary awareness, and a sense of assurance/protection while giving us as parents the chance to connect, recharge, and nurture our marriage—one of the best gifts we can give to our children.
We are beyond grateful for OneFamily and the community of parents we’re a part of. Our family is closer, more joyful, and more resilient because of these intentional practices, and we thank OneFamily for helping us plant seeds that we pray will bear fruit for generations.”
